Due to a shortage of train crew between Bournemouth and Weymouth:
What's Going On
Train services running to and from these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
What We're Doing About It
We have a shortage of available drivers for our scheduled services, and ongoing industrial action in the form of an overtime ban for train drivers means we are unable to cover all the affected train services.Â
As a result of train driver unavailability and the ongoing industrial action, there may be some significant gaps between trains, with further cancellations and reduced frequency of services between Bournemouth and Weymouth.Â
Please note that the last train from London Waterloo to Weymouth will depart London Waterloo at 20:30. You should plan your journey accordingly if you intend to travel on this route to catch this final service. To minimise the potential impact of the disruption, we recommend that you consider traveling earlier than originally planned, if possible.Â
We strongly advise planning your journey before you travel at southwesternrailway.com, where you will find latest updates on the status of your journey and real-time information on train services, including any cancellations or changes. Our teams are working hard to address the driver shortage and run as many train services as possible.Â
For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
