A shortage of available train crew is disrupting Thameslink services. Some services will be cancelled or revised.
Disruption is expected until 07:00 on Saturday 26 October.
Customer advice:
A shortage of available train crew is disrupting Thameslink services tonight into tomorrow morning.
This is particularly affecting the route between Bedford, Central London and Three Bridges / Brighton, in both directions.
There will therefore be a reduced service overnight and early into tomorrow morning.
Alternative public transport routes are very limited overnight, so there are a very limited number of replacement buses running. Where these are confirmed, these will be shown on journey planners, but they will only provide limited capacity compared to the trains which usually run.
We recommend that instead, you travel at times when trains are shown to be running.
Planning your journey:
Live departure boards can be found here.
You can view a live map of the network here.
You can see an alternative route guide here.
You can also use the Thameslink app to find up-to-date information.
Can you tell me more about the incident?
We know these cancellations and service changes are inconvenient, and Thameslink are doing everything they can to run as many trains as possible. Unfortunately, they have got a shortage of train crew, and this means some trains will be cancelled, so we're letting you know as soon as possible and putting alternative arrangements in place where possible, wherever we can.
