A number of isolated incidents are causing disruption to trains across the South Western Railway network.
Trains across the network may be cancelled, delayed or revised.Â
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Customer advice
We have been informed of multiple track circuit failures across our network. These have occurred in the following areas:
- Vauxhall
- New Malden
- Winchfield
- Exeter Central
Other incidents affecting our train services include:
- various train faults
- a road vehicle colliding with a railway bridge at Romsey
- a trespasser on the railway between Brockenhurst and Lymington Town
- a speed restriction over defective track in the Eastleigh area
- crew and stock delayed by the disruption above
Queenstown Road station is closed.
Passengers are advised to travel to use Clapham Junction or Vauxhall stations or to use Battersea Park station to complete their journey.
Until further notice the following alterations will be necessary:
- Trains will not call at Queenstown Road in either direction
- West of England services heading towards London Waterloo will terminate at Basingstoke
- West of England services heading away from London Waterloo will start at Basingstoke
- Other train services will be subject to short notice changes
- Train services may use different platforms to normal at London Waterloo - please check customer information screens to ensure you board the correct train
To assist you with your journey your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost to yourself, on the following services:
- Southern from Battersea Park to Clapham Junction and London Victoria
- Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Reading / Basingstoke
- CrossCountry between Reading and Basingstoke
- London Underground between London Waterloo and London Paddington
