Customer advice
Thameslink
Some Thameslink trains will be delayed when travelling through St Albans.
This will mainly affect semi-fast trains from the London area which continue towards Luton and Bedford, but some stopping trains may be affected by congestion at times.
You can use your normal route, but please expect your journey to take up to 10-15 minutes longer.
To reduce delays, some trains may use alternative lines between West Hampstead Thameslink and St Albans City, which means they may depart from different platforms compared to those usually served. Please check station screens and listen to announcements.
Can you tell me more about the incident?
Network Rail response staff are currently dealing with a faulty signal on the northbound "fast" line at St Albans City, through Platform 4. Despite our best efforts, the fault is now causing some congestion and leading to short queues of trains through the area.
