A problem with the lineside equipment at Sheffield is disrupting services running through this station. Trains may be delayed by up to 30 minutes.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Advice for East Midlands Railway customers:

What has happened? Network Rail are going to investigate the problem. We do not have an expected time that the team are due to arrive on site. How does this affect my train? Trains running through the area from Sheffield towards the south can run. However, due to the congestion at Sheffield station your journey may be delayed by 30 minutes. Trains running through the area from Sheffield towards Liverpool Lime Street and Nottingham cannot run. At the moment we are currently looking at diversionary routes to help minimise the delay to your journey. How do I get where I need to be? You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 30 minutes. As it is late in the day the number of connecting trains are limited. If you have already started our journey we will make every effort to get you to your destination by rail. If not, East Midlands Railway will make alternative arrangements for you. Please speak to a member of the team if you are concerned about your connecting journey.
