A fault with the signalling system between Manningtree and Ipswich means that trains have to run at a reduced speed on all lines. As as result, trains may be delayed by up to 50 minutes.

Delays are expected until 15:30.

Customer advice:

Due to a fault with the signalling system between Manningtree and Ipswich, trains are having to run at a reduced, cautionary speed, in order to keep the railway safe. This means that trains will be delayed between Manningtree and Ipswich, in both directions.

Network Rail engineers are on site investigating and looking to fix the fault.

Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.
