Buses replace trains via Southampton Central from Sunday 24 to Friday 29 December

Engineering work is taking in the Southampton area, closing all lines. ​​​​​​​

All TOCS:

Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 December:

No service will operate on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

CrossCountry:

Sunday 24 and Wednesday 27 to Friday 29 December:

Buses will replace trains between Southampton Airport Parkway and Bournemouth.

Great Western Railway:

Sunday 24 and Wednesday 27 to Friday 29 December:

Trains will be diverted between St Denys and Fareham, not calling at Southampton Central. They will call additionally at Chandler's Ford and Eastleigh.

Rail replacement buses will run between Eastleigh and Southampton Central.

South Western Railway:

Sunday 24 and Wednesday 27 to Friday 29 December:

All services will run to an amended timetable, some may be diverted, terminate short or make additional stops.

The following services will not run:

• Southampton Central to Portsmouth & Southsea
• Winchester and Southampton Central (Wednesday to Friday only)

Additional services will run between:

• Brockenhurst and Weymouth

Buses will replace trains between:

• Southampton Airport Parkway and Bournemouth
• Southampton Airport Parkway and Brockenhurst
• Eastleigh and Brockenhurst
• Southampton Central and Fareham
• Eastleigh and Fareham

It is not yet known how Southern will be affected.
