Engineering work is taking place between Daisy Hill and Wigan, and between Bolton and Hindley, closing some lines.

The following amendments will be in operation:

Trains between Leeds and Wigan Wallgate: Trains will run between Leeds and Manchester Victoria.

Trains from Blackburn to Manchester Victoria / Headbolt Lane: Trains will start from Bolton.

Trains from Headbolt Lane to Manchester Victoria / Blackburn: Trains will terminate at Salford Crescent.

Trains from Southport to Manchester Victoria / Stalybridge: Trains will start from Salford Crescent.

Trains from Stalybridge to Manchester Victoria / Southport: Trains will terminate at Bolton.

Trains between Manchester Oxford Road and Southport: Trains will run via an alternative route and will not call at Salford Crescent, Bolton, Westhoughton and Hindley.

A shuttle train service will run between Wigan Wallgate and Headbolt Lane.

Buses will be provided between:

• Wigan Wallgate and Salford Crescent via Atherton.
