A shortage of train crew between Oxenholme Lake District and Windermere means that trains are currently unable to operate between these stations, and have been cancelled.

Disruption is expected to continue until 15:00.

Customer advice:

You may use your ticket on TransPennine Express services between Manchester Airport and Oxenholme Lake District until 15:00 at no extra cost.

You also have the option of travelling using the Stagecoach Cumbia bus route connecting Oxenholme Lake District and Windermere. Northern tickets are not valid on Stagecoach buses, and customers will be required to purchase a ticket.

All Northern ticket restrictions have been lifted. Customers with advance purchase tickets, or specific time train tickets may use their tickets on any Northern train service via any reasonable route to complete their journey.

Rail replacement transport will operate as follows (provided by S Line, South Lakes Travel & KT's Coaches):

Departures from Oxenholme (Calling at Kendal and Windermere only):

07:30 / 08:29 / 09:32 / 11:21 / 12:39

Departures from Oxenholme (Calling at all stations to Windermere):

07:30 / 08:29 / 09:32 / 11:21 / 12:39

Departures from Windermere (Calling at Kendal and Oxenholme only):

06:42 / 07:56 / 08:52 / 10:57 / 11:47

Departures from Windermere (Calling at all stations to Windermere):

06:42 / 07:56 / 08:52 / 10:57 / 11:47

Please note, journey times will be extended by up to 60 minutes when travelling using using rail replacement transport.
