Engineering work is taking place between Leeds and Outwood and between Bentley and Fitzwilliam, closing some lines.

CrossCountry

Until 16:00 trains will divert and won't call at Wakefield Westgate. Buses will operate between Leeds / Sheffield and Wakefield Westgate.

East Midlands Trains:

On Sunday, services to / from Leeds will not call at Wakefield Westgate apart from the 18:40 London St Pancras to Derby service, which will be extended to run to Leeds. This train will additionally call at Chesterfield, Sheffield and Wakefield Westgate.

Grand Central

All services between Bradford Interchange and London Kings Cross will be running via Pontefract Monkhill with services departing Bradford Interchange / London Kings Cross earlier than usual. Customers are advised to check before they travel.

London North Eastern Railway

On Saturday, the 22:00 London Kings Cross to Leeds service will be diverted after Doncaster and will not call at Wakefield Westgate. A replacement bus will run from Doncaster to Wakefield Westgate.

On Sunday, an hourly service will run to / from Leeds, with trains using a diversionary route and not calling at Wakefield Westgate. A replacement bus service will run between Wakefield Westgate and Doncaster.

Northern

Until 16:00 services will be affected as follows:

• Services between Leeds and Sheffield via Moorthorpe will start / terminate at Wakefield Westgate.
• Services between Leeds and Doncaster will not run.
• Services between Leeds and Knottingley via Wakefield Westgate will be diverted via Castleford, and will not call at Wakefield Westgate / Kirkgate, Streethouse, Featherstone or Pontefract Tanshelf.
• Buses will run between Leeds and Wakefield Westgate /  Doncaster, and also between Wakefield Westgate and Pontefract Monkhill.

From 16:00 services will be affected as follows:

• Services between Leeds and Doncaster will start / terminate at Wakefield Westgate.
• Buses will run between Wakefield Westgate and Doncaster.
• Trains between Leeds and Sheffield via Moorthorpe will run as normal.
