The electricity supply being switched off for safety reasons means lines between Hamilton Central and Larkhall / Motherwell are closed.

The following alterations will take place:

• Balloch - Larkhall services will run between Balloch and Newton (Lanark) only
• Milngavie - Motherwell services will be diverted between Newton (Lanark) and Motherwell and will therefore no longer call at Blantyre, Hamilton West, Hamilton Central and Airbles

This is expected until approximately 18:00.

Customer advice:

The following rail replacement transport has been confirmed:

• 1x coach Larkhall to Newton (Lanark) which will be operated by Arays (expected approximately 15:30)
• 1x coach Newton (Lanark) to Larkhall which will be operated by Ray Cars (expected approximately 15:45)

You may use your ticket on alternative ScotRail services and routes to complete your journey.

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.

Additional information:

To facilitate repairs to a Scottish Power cable fault, the power to the overhead line has been turned off in the Hamilton Central area. This means trains are unable to operate between Newton and Larkhall and between Newton and Motherwell via Airbles.
