Buses replace trains between Didcot Parkway and Swindon until 12:25 on Sunday 1 October

Engineering work is taking place between Didcot Parkway and Swindon until 12:25, closing al lines. ​​​​​​​

As a result no service will operate between Didcot Parkway and Swindon until 12:25.

Rail replacement buses will run between Didcot Parkway and Swindon.

The following additional amendments will apply:

From London Paddington:

• The 08:13 London Paddington to Exeter St David's, also the 09:00 and 10:30 London Paddington to Weston-super-Mare services will start from Swindon.
• The 08:33 and 10:46 London Paddington to Swansea and the 09:31 London Paddington to Carmarthen services will depart London Paddington and Reading much earlier than normal. They will divert between Reading and Bristol Parkway, not calling Didcot Parkway or Swindon. They will call additionally at Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads before regaining normal route from Bristol Parkway.
• An additional train will run at 08:40 from Reading to Didcot Parkway.
• The 09:14 Swindon to Westbury service will depart at 09:18.
• The 10:16 London Paddington to Bristol Parkway service will terminate at Didcot Parkway. A separate train will operate between Swindon and Bristol Parkway.
• The 11:30 London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads service will operate later than normal throughout.
• The 11:46 London Paddington to Carmarthen service will depart London Paddington and Reading a few minutes earlier than normal. It will call additionally at Didcot Parkway and will be the first train to operate over the normal route.

To London Paddington:

• The 07:45 and 11:00 (departing 11:02) Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington, also 08:29 Weston-super-Mare to London Paddington services will divert between Bath Spa and Reading, not calling at Chippenham, Swindon and Didcot Parkway. They will arrive / depart Reading and arrive London Paddington later than normal.
• The 07:55 and 08:32 Swansea to London Paddington service will divert between Bristol Parkway and Reading, not calling Swindon. They will call additionally at Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa. They will arrive / depart Reading and arrive London Paddington later than normal.
• The 08:45 Swindon to London Paddington service will start from Didcot Parkway.
• The 10:22 Swansea to London Paddington service will be the first train to operate over normal route.
• The 10:54 Cheltenham Spa (starting Worcester Shrub Hill) to London Paddington service will operate later than normal.
• The 12:20 Bristol Parkway to London Paddington service will depart earlier at 11:54.

Additional trains:

• 09:07 and 10:07 Bristol Temple Meads to Bath Spa, Chippenham, Swindon.

The following trains will not run:

• The 08:34 and 09:55 Bristol Parkway to London Paddington
• The 09:23 Swansea to London Paddington
• The 10:00 Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington
