Engineering work is taking place between Reading and Westbury, closing some lines.

High Speed services:

Trains between London Paddington and Plymouth / Penzance will divert between Reading and Taunton or between Reading and Westbury, with most calling additionally at Swindon, Westbury and Castle Cary.

Trains between London Paddington and Exeter St David's / Paignton / Plymouth which normally call at Newbury and Pewsey will not run. 

Due to diversions, some trains between London Paddington and Plymouth / Penzance over the route between Swindon and Westbury, and a few local trains between Swindon and Westbury will be retimed by up to 26 minutes.

Rail replacement buses will run between:

• Reading and Newbury / Hungerford
• Swindon and Pewsey

Local services:

To maintain connections with re-timed services:

• Some trains between Paington / Exeter St David's and Exmouth will be retimed by a few minutes from early afternoon.
• Some evening trains between Exeter St David's and Barnstaple / Okehampton will be retimed by a few minutes.
