Engineering work is taking place between Manchester and Liverpool Lime Street, closing some lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

Monday to Thursday:

The 21:00 Newcastle to Liverpool Lime Street service will be diverted to terminate at Manchester Piccadilly, not calling at Manchester Victoria, Newton-le-Willows, Lea Green or Liverpool Lime Street.

A replacement bus will run from Manchester Piccadilly to Liverpool Lime Street, calling at Newton-le-Willows and Lea Green.

Tuesday to Friday:

The 05:20 Liverpool Lime Street to Newcastle service will depart earlier than usual, at 04:57. This train will be diverted, not calling at Lea Green, Newton-le-Willows or Manchester Victoria. This train will additionally call at Manchester Piccadilly at 05:40, and Stalybridge at 06:03.
