Strike action to affect LNER services has been announced by the ASLEF Union.
On Saturday 2 December, LNER will run a reduced number of trains between Edinburgh and London, and between Leeds and London due to the industrial action.
On Sunday 3 December, planned major upgrades to signalling on the East Coast Mainline are scheduled to take place meaning no trains will run to or from London Kings Cross. Journeys to and from Central London will take considerably longer (approximately 120 minutes) and involve a bus connection to a London Underground station.
There is also an ASLEF Union overtime ban from Friday 1 to Saturday 9 December. LNER plan to run their normal timetable on these dates (apart from 2 and 3 December as detailed above), but some services may be altered or cancelled at short notice. If you plan to travel by train during this period, we recommend checking your entire journey in advance.
