Heavy rain has flooded the railway at multiple locations between Bedford and Leicester. As a result, the train service is suspended between these stations.
As a result there will be no East Midlands Railway services between London St Pancras and Corby / Leicester / Nottingham / Sheffield for the remainder of the day.

You should not attempt to travel on this Intercity route today. Tickets for today will be accepted on board services tomorrow instead however, please be aware that trains will stop running earlier than usual tomorrow because of the Christmas Eve timetable.
Poor road conditions are preventing a reliable rail replacement bus service operating through the affected area.
Some alternative routes are available to London if your journey is absolutely essential or you have already started your journey. Please be advised that weather issues are likely to affect alternative routes during your journey so you should not attempt to travel via these alternatives unless you absolutely have to. You should strongly consider using your ticket to travel tomorrow instead.

There is no alternative route available to/from London Kings Cross because of flooding on their route as well.
