A person has been hit by a train between Hastings and Eastbourne. Services between these stations will be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.
Disruption is expected until 16:00.

Southern strongly advise that you check prior to travelling to and from Ashford International today.
To help assist with your journey, Southern have arranged for rail replacement buses to run between the following locations to be used as required:
- Between Ashford International and Hastings.
- Between Hastings and Eastbourne.
- Between Eastbourne and Hastings.
Please be advised these buses will not run to a schedule.
Southern tickets are also being accepted on Southeastern services between Hastings and London Charing Cross.
Journey planners will continue to be updated during this incident, and Southern advise you plan your journey prior to travelling.
How is this currently affecting the train service?
All
services will start and terminate at Pevensey & Westham until
further notice. This means Southern are unable to serve the following
stations:
- Pevensey Bay
- Normans Bay
- Cooden Beach
- Collington
- Bexhill
- St Leonards Warrior Square
- Hastings
- Ore
- Three Oaks
- Doleham
- Winchelsea
- Rye
- Appledore
- Ham Street
- Ashford International

in the Hastings area this morning. Network Rail response staff are
currently on site working together with local paramedics assisting with
the situation.
