An obstruction is on the track between Walmer and Deal, causing disruption to journeys between Dover Priory and Ramsgate. Train services running through these stations may be delayed or revised.

What's happened?
A train has struck the branch of a fallen tree between Walmer and Deal stations. There is some damage to the train and so the line from Dover Priory towards Ramsgate is currently blocked. The rescue train and passengers have now returned to Dover, but the damaged train now has a further fault and cannot move. Technicians are working to resolve the issues so that the line can be cleared.
How does this affect my journey?
The line from Dover Priory towards Ramsgate is blocked as a result and Network Rail are working to get the tree moved and the train fixed in order to reopen the line. Services are able to run from Ramsgate towards Dover Priory but at a reduced speed through the area as a precaution.
What do I need to do?
You will need use the replacement bus to travel towards Ramsgate.
