Becoming a Grand Central Volunteer Station Ambassador
About the role
You will be the face of Grand Central to all customers at your local station. Your primary role is to engage with customers - providing a warm welcome and assisting them with any queries they may have. You will be customers' first point of contact and you may help direct them where to stand on the platform, help them with their tickets or advise of facilities on board etc. An important part of the role involves relaying information - you will be able to advise customers what to do in the event of delays or cancellations (whether that is alternative travel arrangements or how to seek compensation).
Still not sure if it’s for you? Pop along to your local station on a Sunday and have a chat with one of our ambassadors who will be more than happy to share their experiences with you.
