Engineering work is taking place between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 February, closing all lines.
The following changes to the train service will apply:
CrossCountry:
CrossCountry services scheduled to run between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe will instead divert via Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford, and therefore will not call at Wilmslow or Crewe.
Rail replacement buses will run in place of trains between Manchester Piccadilly / Stockport / Wilmslow and Crewe.
Northern:
It is not yet know how Northern will be affected by these engineering works.
Transport for Wales:
It is not yet know how Transport for Wales will be affected by these engineering works.
Virgin Trains:
Virgin Trains services scheduled to run between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe will instead divert via Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford, and therefore will not call at Wilmslow or Crewe.
Buses will run between Wilmslow and Macclesfield and a limited replacement bus service will supplement the train service between Crewe and Stafford.
Some Virgin Train services travelling south from Liverpool Lime Street will call additionally at Crewe.
Customers wanting to travel to Crewe from Manchester Piccadilly should travel via Stafford to connect with alternative Virgin Trains services and rail replacement buses.
Customers travelling to / from Wilmslow should use rail replacement buses to travel via Macclesfield.
