Small is beautiful: Grand Central Rail ranked highest ever in passenger satisfaction
Consumer magazine, Which? has today published research which puts Grand Central at the top of all train operators with a 76% satisfaction score - the highest ever score recorded in the history of the Which? survey.
According to the article, passengers rate Grand Central as good for everything – from value to money to cleanliness, punctuality and reliability.
Richard McClean, Managing Director at Grand Central Rail, said:
“I’m very proud of Grand Central’s fantastic achievement, which really does highlight that small can be beautiful. As an open-access operator employing just 130 staff, we are able to achieve great results.
“We recruit locally to staff our trains and we know that passengers appreciate the personal service provided by our on board teams. It is great to see that the article highlights our friendly staff who go the extra mile every day to really make such a difference on board.
“As an open-access operator, we provide a much needed direct service to communities not previously well served by rail. This allows us to not only meet the specific needs of those communities, but to also be part of them by supporting local charities and community initiatives across Yorkshire and the North East. Grand Central provides a reliable and good value service so passengers can travel direct from their local station to London for work and leisure.”
