Severe weather flooding the railway on various Northern routes. Trains may be delayed by up to 60 minutes or cancelled.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Current Disruptions

Skipton - Carlisle

Heavy rain flooding the railway between Skipton and Carlisle means trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 60 minutes or cancelled.

Northern passengers are able to use tickets on TransPennine Express services between Carlisle and Lancaster/Preston to connect with an alternative service towards Leeds/Skipton.

Windermere - Oxenholme

Heavy rain flooding the railway between Windermere and Oxenholme mean all lines are blocked. Trains running between these stations will be cancelled.

Gathurst

Trains running from Wigan Wallgate towards Southport are currently unable to call at Gathurst due to heavy rain flooding the railway. Customers are advised to travel to Appley Bridge and get the next train back towards Gathurst.
