A problem at a level crossing at Eccles Road earlier today is causing residual delays trains running between Ely and Norwich. Although lines have reopened, trains may still be delayed by up to 30 minutes.

This is expected until 20:30.

Customer Advice:

There is a fault with a barriers at a level crossing at Eccles Road. This is between Ely and Norwich and is disrupting trains on the Liverpool / Nottingham / Norwich route.

Network Rail are aware of the fault and have a team on site.

 How does this affect my train?

Trains running through the area in both direction may be delayed by 30 minutes between Ely and Norwich.

Some services between Ely and Norwich have been amended due to the fault with the signalling system. If you are travelling this evening please use an online journey planner to help you get where you need to be.
