The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for rain and wind in parts of England, Wales and Scotland on Sunday 23 February.

The forecasted weather may cause trains to be disrupted:

  • Heavy rainfall can cause flooding that results in tracks being underwater and embankments being damaged, causing potential landslips
  • Flooding can affect points and signalling equipment, which allow trains to move from one line to another

Advice for customers:

Please check before you travel and allow more time for your journey on affected days. Speed restrictions may be in place which can cause delays and cancellations

Any disruptions related to the poor weather will be published once we have more information.

Check before you travel:

You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

Compensation:

You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
