A road vehicle has struck a bridge between Kirby Cross and Walton-on-the-Naze. Consequently, trains will be unable to run between Thorpe-le-Soken and Walton-on-the-Naze until the bridge has been assessed for safety. 

Disruption is expected to continue until 18:00.

Alternative travel advice:

A bus replacement service has been ordered, and it is due to arrive at Walton-on-the-Naze and Thorpe-le-Soken at around 17:00 - 17:15.
