A tree blocking the railway at Aylesford means trains between Maidstone West and Strood are unable to run.

Disruption is expected until 16:30.

What's happened?

A tree has been reported on the railway in the Aylesford area. Both lines are blocked and no trains can run.

The tree requires staff equipped with chainsaws to attend; unfortunately there is no ETA for these staff to be on site at present.

How does this affect my journey?

No trains can currently run between Maidstone West and Strood.

What should I do?

Replacement buses are running between Maidstone West and Strood.

Please allow extra time for your journey, and check before you travel.
