A fault with the signalling system at Wimbledon means that trains must run at a reduced speed on some lines towards London Waterloo.

As a result, trains operating through Wimbledon may be cancelled or revised.

Major disruption is expected until 20:00.

Customer advice

South Western Railway have been informed that there is a track circuit failure at Wimbledon. This means that trains some lines towards London Waterloo are blocked.

Until further notice, the following alterations will be necessary:

  • Services between Woking to London Waterloo via Hersham will run non-stop between Berrylands and London Waterloo
  • Services between Guildford to London Waterloo via Cobham will run non-stop between Surbiton and London Waterloo
  • Services between Hampton Court / Chessington South and London Waterloo will be cancelled in both directions
  • Services between Shepperton and London Waterloo will be diverted between Fulwell and Clapham Junction calling additionally at Strawberry Hill and Twickenham in both directions

To assist you with your journey your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost to yourself, on the following services:

  • London Underground:
    • District line between Wimbledon and Embankment
    • Bakerloo line between Embankment and London Waterloo
    • Northern line between South Wimbledon and London Waterloo
    • Jubilee line between Westminster and London Waterloo
  • Thameslink between Wimbledon to Elephant & Castle and change for London Underground services towards London Waterloo
  • Southern between Dorking and London Victoria via Epsom
  • London Buses between Hampton Court / Surbiton / Chessington South and Clapham Junction in both directions
  • Falcon Buses 479 between Guildford - Clandon - Horsley - Effingham Village - Bookham - Leatherhead - Ashtead - Epsom
  • Falcon Buses 715 between Guildford - Cobham - Esher - Hinchley Wood - Thames Ditton - Surbiton - Kingston
  • White Bus Services 462 and 463 between Guildford - Clandon - Woking
  • Falcon Buses 408 between Cobham - Oxshott - Leatherhead - Ashtead - Epsom
