The emergency services have now safely dealt with the incident in the Edinburgh area, allowing all lines at this station to reopen.

Until service recovers, trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 10 minutes or revised.

This incident is expected to continue to impact services until 10:00.

ScotRail customer advice:

You may use your ticket on Edinburgh Trams between Edinburgh Gateway, Edinburgh Park and Edinburgh at no extra cost.

You may also use your ticket to travel via any alternative ScotRail route at no extra cost.

Rail replacement transport has been requested to operate between Edinburgh Gateaway and Edinburgh Park. You will be updated here once this is confirmed.

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
