Advice for Saturday 9, Sunday 10 and Monday 11 January:

Following a recent landslide, Network Rail will be closing two of the lines in the Salfords area (near Gatwick Airport) on the above days to allow repairs to be made to the embankment and the track in the area. This will allow the current, temporary 5mph speed restriction to be removed, and a normal train service should run from Tuesday 12 January.

The Thameslink, Southern and Network Rail control teams are developing a revised train service to run on these days (Saturday 9, Sunday 10 and Monday 11 January). When this is complete we will be able to advise, of the key changes to the train service but you should expect a reduced service between the south coast, London and Cambridge.
