Industrial action is taking place on several dates in December 2022 and January 2023, affecting ScotRail services. 48 hour strikes will take place on the dates below:

  • Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 December 2022
  • Friday 16 and Saturday 17 December 2022
  • Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 January 2023
  • Friday 6 and Saturday 7 January 2023

Additionally, there has been further strike action announced over the Christmas period which will take place from 18:00 on Saturday 24 December until 06:00 on Tuesday 27 December 2022.

The planned strikes on these days will cause disruption to ScotRail services, as Network Rail Scotland signallers and maintenance staff, who are in safety-critical roles, will be on strike.

ScotRail are working through the timetable plans and we will provide information on the impact of services as soon as more is known.
