A tree blocking the railway at Kemble means some lines are closed.

Trains running between Swindon and Gloucester may be cancelled, diverted via Bristol Parkway or delayed by up to 30 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 10:30.

To assist you with your journey, your ticket will be accepted at no extra cost on the following Stagecoach Buses routes:

  • 62: Gloucester (Bus Station), Stroud (Merrywalks), Stonehouse (Elgin Mall)
  • 63: Gloucester (Bus Station), Stroud (Merrywalks)
  • 64: Gloucester (Bus Station), Stonehouse (Elgin Mall), Stroud (Merrywalks)
  • 65: Gloucester (Bus Station), Stonehouse (Elgin Mall), Cam, Dursley, Stroud (Merrywalks)
  • 66: Cheltenham (Promenade), Stroud (Merrywalks)
  • 97 / 98: Gloucester (Bus Station), Cheltenham (Promenade)

Replacement road transport has been requested to operate in both directions between Swindon and Gloucester. We will provide further information once more is known.

Network Rail staff are on-site working to remove the tree.
