A tree blocking the railway at Billericay means all lines are blocked.

Trains running between Shenfield and Southminster / Southend Victoria may be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 20 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 19:00.

Customer Advice:

A tree has been found resting dangerously close to the overhead wire and as a result Great Anglia are unable to run London Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria services until the tree has been removed.

Network Rail response team are on site and have assessed the situation. They have confirmed the need for the tree to be removed as it is quite likely to bring the overhead wire down if ignored. As a result, train services between London Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria will terminate / start from Shenfield.

Services from Southend Victoria to Liverpool Street will terminate / start from Wickford.

A very small number of rail replacement buses have been sourced to operate between Shenfield and Wickford.

Services between Wickford and Southminster are not affected.
