A failure of the electricity supply between Margate and Herne Bay means trains running between these stations may be cancelled.

What's happened? We have been advised that some objects were thrown on to the track causing the electricity supply to fail at Westgate-on-Sea. Network Rail response staff are on their way to site to investigate and restore power.
How does this affect my journey? Trains are unable to run from Margate to Herne Bay. Trains from Herne Bay to Margate are not currently affected. What should I do? Please allow extra time to complete your journey and check before you travel. We are arranging replacement buses and once these are confirmed we will share the details Alternative Routes:
