A fault with the signalling system between Kettering and Bedford means trains have run at a redeucded speed on some lines. As a result, trains may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

There is a fault with the signalling system near Sharnbrook This is between Kettering and Bedford and is disrupting trains on the Intercity and Connect routes.
We have also been notified of a signal fault in the Bedford area which is adding additional disruption to our services.
Network Rail have a team in the area who are working on resolving the fault.

At present we are expecting the problem to be fixed in the next 2 hours. As soon as the problem is fixed our priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. We expect the advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 22:00.

You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 60 minutes.
Intercity
You should continue to travel on your booked train service. If your train has been cancelled or is no longer calling at your stop, your original ticket will be accepted on the next train.
East Midlands Railway have also arranged for some of their services from Nottingham to London St Pancras International to call additionally at Luton. Connections can be made at Luton to Thameslink services towards Bedford.

Where possible, you should continue to travel on your booked train service.
Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on Thameslink services between London St Pancras and Bedford in both direction.
