A fault with the signalling system at Tulse Hill means trains between East Croydon and London Bridge via Tulse Hill may be cancelled or delayed by up to 20 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 12:00.

Customer Advice

Services that normally run between East Croydon and London Bridge, stopping at all stations via Tulse Hill, will now run via Forest Hill, meaning there will be no service to London Bridge at the following stations:

  • Selhurst
  • Thornton Heath
  • Norbury
  • Streatham Common
  • Streatham (Greater London)

Please travel to East Croydon and change for a train to London Bridge, or travel to London Victoria and make use of the ticket acceptance that has been arranged.

There will be a reduced service to London Bridge at the following stations:

  • Tulse Hill
  • North Dulwich
  • East Dulwich
  • Peckham Rye
  • Queens Road (Peckham)
  • South Bermondsey

Please allow extra time as your journey is likely to be extended by around 20 minutes, and you may have to use an alternative route.

Your ticket will be accepted on the following, at no extra cost:

  • Alternative Southern services between East Croydon and London
  • Thameslink between East Croydon and London
  • London Buses between Selhurst and London
  • London Underground via any reasonable route

Can you tell me more about the incident?

This part of the network uses track circuits to detect trains. If a circuit fails, the system may think a train is still there, blocking others from moving forward.

Drivers must stop at red signals and get verbal permission to proceed at a reduced speed, which can cause significant delays, especially in areas with long track sections.

Faults can be caused by electronic issues or track obstructions. Network Rail is investigating, and we’ll share updates as soon as we have them. Thank you for your patience.
