Yesterday afternoon, heavy rain flooded the railway near Long Easton, blocking all lines through this station. The line was closed for the reminder of the day yesterday and is expected to be closed today.
CrossCountry Customer Advice:
Trains between Derby and Nottingham may be cancelled or diverted between Burton-On-Trent and Attenborough. Road transport has been requested to run between Derby and Nottingham.
You can also use your tickets on East Midlands Railway services via any reasonable route.
CrossCountry ticket holders with tickets marked 14 November 2019 may use their tickets on CrossCountry services today, Friday 15 November.

East Midlands Railway ticket holders with tickets marked 14 November 2019 may use their tickets on East Midlands Railway services today, Friday 15 November.
Trains which do run will be diverted to avoid Long Eaton. Trains will however still call at Derby. The diversion will extend journeys by approximately 30 minutes.
Customers for Long Eaton are advised to NOT alight at East Midlands Parkway. Please travel through to Derby.
East Midlands Railway recommend using alternative routes to / from London St Pancras as listed below to complete your journey this evening.
To travel to /from Chesterfield and Sheffield, you can use Northern via Doncaster and LNER to / from London Kings Cross.
To travel to / from Derby, you can use Virgin Trains between London Euston and Birmingham New Street and CrossCountry between Birmingham New Street and Derby.
Matlock and Nottingham / Newark Castle:
Services are running between Nottingham and Newark Castle. Rail replacement bus services are in place to connect Derby and Nottingham.
Buses are operating between Derby and Nottingham, calling at Long Eaton.
If you're travelling between Derby and Nottingham you may travel via Birmingham / Leicester with CrossCountry.
