Overrunning engineering works between Barnham and Horsham means all lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between these stations may be delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected until 07:30.

All lines are blocked between Horsham and Barnham, due to engineering work taking longer than expected to complete.

If possible, please delay your journey until later in the day. If you are travelling now, you will need to use an alternative route and your travel time will be extended up to 30 minutes.

Trains which usually run between:

  • Bognor Regis, or Southampton Central and London Victoria will instead divert to run via Hove / Brighton
  • Portsmouth and London Victoria will instead terminate and restart from Barnham.

You can use your ticket to travel at no extra cost on:

  • Southern services on any reasonable route to your destination
  • South Western Railway services from Portsmouth / Havant / Southampton towards London
  • London Underground on any reasonable route
  • Stagecoach Buses routes including:
    • 9 for Arundel, Littlehampton, Angmering Worthing, Lancing, Shoreham by Sea
  • Compass Travel routes including:
    • 100 for Pulborough, Billingshurst, and Horsham
  • METROBUS routes including:
    • 2 for Crawley and Ifield
    • 3 for Crawley, Three Bridges, and Gatwick Airport
    • 23 for Crawley, Faygate, and Horsham
    • 200 for Horsham, Littlehaven, Faygate, Ifield, and Gatwick Airport
    • 84 / 272 / 281 / 291 for Crawley and Three Bridges
    • 400 for Crawley, Three Bridges, Gatwick Airport
    • 460 for Crawley, Gatwick Airport,

Please note that these alternatives will extend your journey times by up to an additional 30 minutes, especially if your journey includes alternative road transport.
