A fault on a train between Peterborough and Huntingdon is disrupting the line towards Stevenage. A normal service is expected to resume from 10:00.

This incident is now preventing a number of other trains from travelling from Peterborough towards Stevenage and London.

This affects the following trains:

• Peak-time Great Northern services from Peterborough towards London Kings Cross
• Thameslink services from Peterborough towards Horsham
• Some long-distance trains, including LNER. Hull Trains and Grand Central services may be delayed by up to 15 minutes

As alternative route options in the area are limited, we would currently advise you to use your normal route for travel. However, be aware of the delays to journeys and leave some extra time for any essential travel today.

The 07:35 Peterborough to London Kings Cross service is currently delayed between Peterborough and Huntingdon. This is due to a train fault onboard this train. The train's driver and fleet engineers are working to assess the problem and get the affected train moving forward to Huntingdon station as quickly as possible.
