Engineering work is taking place from 14:05 on Saturday 2 and all day Sunday 3 June between Reading and Bedwyn / Basingstoke, closing various lines.

CrossCountry

Trains will divert via Guildford not calling at Basingstoke, Winchester and Southampton Airport Parkway closing some lines. Trains will divert via Guildford, not calling at Basingstoke, Winchester and Southampton Airport Parkway. Journey times will be extended by one hour. CrossCountry rail replacement road transport will operate between Basingstoke and Winchester.

Great Western Railway

Trains between London Paddington and Plymouth/Penzance (routed via Newbury) will be diverted either between Reading and Westbury (via Melksham NOT calling, or via Bristol Temple Meads NOT calling), some trains between Swindon and Westbury will operate between to revised timings.

Between 13:30 until 14:15, no trains will run between Reading and Basingstoke.

Buses will operate between:

Until 21:00

• Reading and Newbury (direct).
• Reading - Theale - Thatcham - Newbury - Kintbury - Hungerford - Bedwyn.
• Reading - Newbury calling all stations.

After 21:00

• Reading - Bedwyn calling all stations.
