May Bank Holiday Weekend travel information for Grand Central services

With many customers choosing to travel over the Spring Bank Holiday, some Grand Central services are expected to be standing room only with no seats available. Customers without seat reservations are advised NOT TO TRAVEL on the following services:

  • 16:27 London Kings Cross- Bradford Interchange
  • 19:52 London Kings Cross- Bradford Interchange

Sunday 27 May 2018

  • 07:55 Bradford Interchange- London Kings Cross

Due to short notice engineering work implemented by Network Rail, the following services will not run:

15:20 Halifax to London Kings Cross

Grand Central apologise for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation of your service, the following arrangements have been made to convey you to your destination:
All passengers from London Kings Cross should travel on the 16:13 Grand Central service to London Kings Cross.
Customers holding reservations for 15:20 service should travel in Coach B and F.

18:53 London Kings Cross to Halifax

Grand Central apologise for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation of your service, the following arrangements have been made to convey you to your destination:
All passengers from London Kings Cross should travel on the 19:22 Grand Central service London Kings Cross – Halifax.
Customers holding reservations for 18:53 service should travel in Coach B and F.

For the following ticket types:

  • Grand Central Off-Peak Single or Grand Central Off-Peak Return
  • Grand Central Anytime Single or Grand Central Anytime Return

We strongly advise customers without seat reservations to travel on services marked green, to improve the comfort of your journey.

For tickets marked Any Operator/’Any Permitted’ including:

  • Super Off-Peak Single or Super Off-Peak Return
  • Anytime Single or Anytime Return

Customers with tickets marked ‘Any permitted’ are valid for Grand Central, Hull Trains and Virgin Trains East Coast services.

To ensure a comfortable journey, customers are strongly advised to check services available with alternative operators.
