Customer Advice
No trains can call at Carshalton station towards London until further notice. If you are travelling to or from this station your journey may take up to 20 minutes longer, and you may need to change trains more times than usual during your journey.
Trains which run in the opposite direction - towards Sutton or Dorking - can call as scheduled.

Please instead travel to Sutton, then change there for a train towards your destination.
If you're travelling to Carshalton on a train towards London:
Please travel onwards to Hackbridge, then change for a train towards Sutton or Dorking which will still call at your destination
You can use your ticket to travel at no extra cost on:
- Southern or Thameslink trains on any reasonable route towards your destination.
Please check journey planners and station information boards before you travel, and allow extra time to reach your destination.
Check a live map here to see if your journey has been affected.
Can you tell me more about the incident?
An engineering vehicle has caused significant damage to platform 1 at Carshalton, meaning it's no longer safe for passengers to use. As such, no trains will call at platform 1 at Carshalton, which affects trains running towards London.
Trains which run from London towards Sutton or Dorking can continue to use the other available platform.
Network Rail engineers are on site, and working to repair the damage to the platform now.
