Red noses for all at Grand Central

Samantha and Rachel, passengers from Austin, TexasGrand Central's trains have been given a special makeover this week as staff, passengers and even trains are raising money for Comic Relief 2013.

Grand Central's fleet of trains have been fitted with their very own red noses to mark the occasion and encourage the whole organisation to join in the fundraising.  The Red Nose trains are running between London, Yorkshire and the North East all week with a host of activities to raise money for the charity.

Staff on-board are wearing Red Noses and giving out special Red Nose Day stickers. Passengers have been donating generously and Grand Central is on-track to raise £1000 for Comic Relief 2013. The money raised will help people living unimaginably tough lives across the UK and Africa.

Sean English, General Manager of Grand Central Rail said:

"As our passengers and the communities we serve gear up for Red Nose Day, we wanted to show our support in an unusual way by getting the trains to wear their very own red noses for this fantastic cause.

Members of the public can keep a look out for the Red Nose trains between London, Yorkshire and the North East and we’re really looking forward to seeing the red noses speeding through the beautiful countryside on our routes. We hope our passengers enjoy the Red Nose trains and give generously!"
