Grand Central Rail takes Terry to his first Premier League game

Huddersfield Town mascot Terry takes the Grand Central train to London

Grand Central Rail scored an unusual passenger on its West Riding route this week. Terry the Terrier, Huddersfield Town’s mascot, was spotted boarding the Grand Central train as he took the journey to London for the Club’s first match of the season in the Premier League.

Huddersfield Town is ready to kick off its first game against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this Saturday (12th August). As the Club’s official travel partner, Grand Central will be transporting fans across the region to the capital this weekend via its direct service from Mirfield and Brighouse to London.

Sean Jarvis, Commercial Director at Huddersfield Town said “Anticipation is really growing for the Club’s first match in the Premier League. The support the team has had from Town fans is incredible and everyone at the Club is excited to see them travel down with us with Grand Central to make our Premier League debut.”

Richard McClean, Managing Director of Grand Central Rail, said: “We’re pleased to continue our partnership with Huddersfield Town for another season and it was a real treat to see Terry the Terrier on board. At Grand Central, we are always looking at ways to improve the travel experience for our passengers by showing our commitment and dedication to customer service.

“Terry really took advantage of all the benefits of travelling with Grand Central, including the free Wi-Fi to get the latest news on the Club and extra legroom for his paws and staff were on hand to help him on and off the train. We’re looking forward to many more journeys with him and the team and look forward to cheering them on this weekend.”
