  First class passengers enjoy more legroom, wide, reclining seats, complimentary light refreshments and a newspaper. We aim to provide you with a comfortable environment for working and relaxing.

  Passengers in Standard accommodation enjoy higher levels of comfort than with most other train companies with improved seating and more leg room. Carriages have added space for luggage.

  Free Wi-Fi is available on all our trains (subject to service reception)

• 

  Power sockets are available in most carriages for charging laptops and mobile phones

• 

  Seat reservations are provided free of charge on all services. Reservations are recommended at weekends and holiday times.

• 

  Lost property. For trains travelling towards Sunderland or Bradford, please contact Northern Rail's Lost Property office on 0845 00 00 125. For trains travelling towards London, please contact King's Cross Lost Property Office on 0207 837 4334.

  Smoking is not permitted on Grand Central services.

• 

  Cyclists are welcome on board all Grand Central services. Space for cycles is available in the first and last carriages on each train.

• 

  Well-behaved Pets are welcome on board Grand Central services, free of charge, as long as they do not occupy a seat. Please ensure your pet does not disturb other passengers.

• 

  Luggage Racks are provided at the end of each carriage for storing large items of luggage. Extra luggage space is provided behind seats and in overhead racks.

•
