About Halifax
Halifax has an excellent covered market, lots of interesting shops and a great industrial heritage demonstrated by the many fine textile mills which still remain. It is the administrative centre for Calderdale which stretches as far as Hebden Bridge and Todmorden, all easily accessible by local train services.
