St. Peter's Church - Did you know that one of the most important historic sites in the world is in North East England?
The twin Anglo-Saxon monastery of Wearmouth-Jarrow is the UK’s nomination for World Heritage Site status in 2011. The monastery is centred on St Peter’s Church in Wearmouth, Sunderland and St Paul’s Church in Jarrow.

National Glass Centre - National Glass Centre is a unique venue dedicated to exploring ideas through glass and providing opportunities for people to be creative, enjoy themselves and feel inspired. National Glass Centre houses exhibition spaces, artists’ studios and glass-making facilities, Craft and Design shop, café/restaurant and function suites, located in an innovative contemporary glass and steel building on the banks of the River Wear.

Sunderland 2018 Host City Bid - Sunderland has been chosen alongside 12 other cities to be included in the bid to bring the World Cup to England for the first time since 1966.
A successful bid for England would mean qualifying matches during the World Cup finals would be played at the Stadium of Light.

	Pick up point Drop off and pick up is available adjacent to the station entrance.

	Parking The station does not have a car park is currently closed for alterations. Secure parking is available at the Bridges shopping centre close to the station.
