Barley Hall - Child free with 1 Adult

Barley Hall is a stunning medieval house, once home to the Priors of Nostell and the Mayor of York. Until the 1980s the house was hidden under the relatively modern facade of a derelict office block. Only when the building was going to be destroyed was the amazing medieval building discovered and its history uncovered.

The building has now been lovingly restored to its original splendour with stunning high ceilings, beautiful exposed timber frames, and possibly the only horn window in England. It has been decorated to replicate what it would have looked like as the Snawsell home around 1483 and boasts a magnificent Great Hall. Visitors to Barley Hall can make themselves at home and sit on the chairs and handle the objects and experience what it would have been like to live in Medieval England.

Burton Agnes Hall - 2 for 1 Adult

Burton Agnes Hall is a magnificent example of Elizabethan architecture built in 1598 by Sir Henry Griffith and still lived in by his descendants. Kiplin Hall & Gardens - 2 for 1 Adult

Country seat of George Calvert, founder of Maryland, U.S.A., who built this handsome Jacobean Hall in a pretty vale between Richmond and Northallerton.

From the 1620s, the Calverts, Crowes, Carpenters and Talbots, all related by blood or marriage, left their stamp on the house, altering the buildings to suit their needs. Each family brought furnishings, paintings and personal possessions. Much of these collections remain, and the Hall’s interior is a fine example of a Victorian country house at the close of the 19th century.

Kiplin Hall stands in one hundred acres of woodland, gardens, parkland and lake. These 'lost' gardens are being restored, recreating the glorious period of the Carpenter family's residence. Newby Hall is one of England’s renowned Adam houses, an exceptional example of 18th century interior decoration. Normanby Hall Museum & Country Park - 2 for 1 Adult

Parcevall Hall Gardens - 2 for 1 Adult

Sutton Park - 2 for 1 Adult

Sutton Park, the Yorkshire home of Sir Reginald and Lady Sheffield, is a charming lived in house, built of mellow brick in 1730 by Thomas Atkinson. The Bowes Museum - 2 for 1 Adult

Thorp Perrow Arboretum, Bird of Prey & Mammal Centre - 2 for 1 Adult

Wentworth Castle Gardens - 2 for 1 Adult

Wentworth Castle Gardens & Stainborough Park is the only Grade One Listed landscape in South Yorkshire, and contains a fascinating collection of 26 listed buildings and monuments.

The estate is now in the process of being restored, and over £17m has been raised since 2003 towards the restoration projects. Rare formal gardens have been rediscovered, National Collections of Rhododendrons, Camellias and Magnolias enhanced; and over 100,000 bulbs planted to create a carpet of colour.

Buildings and monuments have been repaired and opened to visitors for the first time. The majestic Stainborough Castle, built by Thomas Wentworth in 1730, has been consolidated as a romantic folly and offers panoramic views across the gardens and park. Over 500 acres of historic parkland can be explored in three Parkland Trails, which links several restored follies and native woods, through the beautiful countryside of Stainborough. Both red and fallow deer can be seen on a daily basis grazing in the park.
