Grand Central operates a simple fares structure comprising 'Anytime' and 'Off Peak' tickets. On the North Easter route the 'Anytime' fare applies Monday to Friday for travel to London on the first train departing Sunderland at 06.41 and from London on the 1650 service from London Kings Cross. On the West Riding route the 'Anytime' fare applies Monday to Friday fortravel to London on the first train departing Bradford at 0651. All other services are available to 'Off Peak' ticket holders. On Bank Holidays 'Off Peak' tickets are valid on all services. For those wishing to make return journeys, Grand Central fares can be bought as a return ticket or by buying two single tickets.
Valid Tickets You can travel on Grand Central trains using either a ticket which is valid for any train between the stations shown (usually called an 'Any Permitted' ticket) or with a 'Grand Central only' ticket. Tickets are only valid for the date(s) shown. The return part of a ticket is valid for travel within one calendar month of the outward journey. Some tickets restrict travel to specific trains. Please ensure you are travelling on a valid ticket otherwise you may be charged an excess fare.
Changing your Ticket If you wish to change your date of travel, or the station you are travelling from or to, you will need to buy a new ticket and apply for a refund on your existing ticket. All tickets and travel are subject to National Rail Conditions of Carriage. |
