Deer Shed Festival

On Saturday 17th July, one of the freshest faces on the festival calendar – Deer Shed Festival – is bringing fantastic music, great art, and one day and night of chilled out fun to the beautiful parkland of North Yorkshire, and all at a modest price. This live music/child friendly utopia gives all the buzz of a festival, but without the drag factor to a three day stint (made all the more acute with a band of kids in tow.)
 
Indie Legends, The Wedding Present are headlining what has shaped up to be a great quality alternative festival, with other acts worthy of note including The Young Knives, Miles Hunt from The Wonder Stuff and Young Rebel Set.
 
The Deer Shed philosophy is such that even the youngest festivalgoer gets as much out of it as their parents do. There’s a full schedule of activities to keep the youngsters entertained including a giant doodle wall, animation workshops and percussion making. Thirsk is the nearest train station to the festival site. A limited shuttle bus will run from Thirsk station to the festival site, for a small fee with all profits going to charity. If you are interested in using this shuttle please contact the festival organisers.
