Train Crew Leaders

BASED AT SUNDERLAND, SALARY NEGOTIABLE

Grand Central Railway have a position for a highly motivated individual to manage a team of Drivers and Conductors.

You will have excellent leadership skills and be currently qualified to drive trains and hold a good knowledge of Railway Group Standards and Rules and Regulations

The post holder will have excellent verbal and written skills and be competent with MS Office and other I.T. applications.

Ideally you will hold a D32/A1 and D34/V1 Certificate and be experienced in developing and delivering classroom and practical training.

You will be be experienced in investigating Safety of the Line incidents and have the ability to think beyond the obvious.

Proven skills in people management are a prerequisite as is the ability to demonstrate improvement in individual performance.

The post holder will need to work under own initiative as well as part of a team. Must be able to record and file documents in line with company policies.

The successful candidate will be required to assist in the continued development of traincrew standards and briefing materials.

Candidates must hold a full clean driving license.

The post will have an on call requirement and some unsocial hours including weekend work and the occasional lodge away from home.

All posts are based on a 35 hour working week which includes weekend working and an element of unsocial hours.
